Playing Action Games can Boost Learning
Studies are showing that gamers who play action games are improving skills that are taught in the game along with learning capabilities in general. This is the case because of how brains sharpen their prediction skills. During our daily lives, our brains are constantly predicting activities that we will do next. They sharpen these skills by creating templates and models of the real world. The better the template, the better the world, the better the performance will be. People who play action games create better templates than those who don't and therefore they will perform the task at hand better. I agree that video games are beneficial because they help gamers make better decisions, become more creative, become team players, and improve hand-eye coordination.
